2021 ASU Interns

2021 MASGIS Cohort

These interns will build upon the data analysis and products that were produced by the 2020 MASGIS interns. The 2021 MASGIS interns plan to refine the vegetation classification process and produce outreach applications that will help Green Drone AZ staff recruit teachers. These interns will serve as mentors to the high school students and help bridge the gap between academics and professionals in the field.

Cody Maynard

Cody holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy and a certificate of trade in engineering. He is currently a GIS and Environmental Specialist for Arizona’s Department of Environmental Quality. Cody has experience working in water quality, watershed remediation and environmental GIS application. Cody plans to graduate with his M.A.S. in GIS in 2021.

James Olshan

James has a B.A. in Geography with a minor in geospatial technologies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He has previously helped on projects related to GIS and remote sensing. James plans to graduate with his M.A.S. in GIS in 2021.
